Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Top Tracker.

Metric names and notes are user-entered content, so they can include personal information if you choose to add it.

  • Account information, including your email address, authentication identifiers, connected sign-in provider identifiers such as Google when you choose that option, and session data used to keep you signed in.
  • Habit tracking information, including metric settings, pinned order, goals, daily yes-or-no records stored against the calendar date you choose, and notes you save for specific days.
  • Preference information, including your selected app theme and first-day-of-week setting so those preferences can follow your account.
  • Device-level information stored in your browser, including a small flag that remembers whether you dismissed the manual install guide on that device.

How we use information

  • To create your account, sign you in with email/password or Google, maintain your session, and support password reset and email change flows.
  • To send and verify the confirmation email required before a newly created account can log in.
  • To save, sync, and display your metrics, goals, records, notes, theme choice, week-start choice, and pinned metrics across sessions and devices.
  • To show installation guidance that matches your browser and remember when you dismiss that guidance locally.
  • To provide account controls that are available in the app, such as sign out and account deletion.
  • If paid plans are enabled for your account, to show subscription details and management controls inside the app.

How we share information

  • We use Supabase to provide authentication and to host the database that stores account and tracking data.
  • If paid plans are introduced, Paddle is expected to handle checkout, tax handling, and payment records as merchant of record.
  • If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that authentication step under its own terms and privacy practices.
  • We do not sell your habit tracking data to advertisers.
  • We do not make your habit tracking data public through the app.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the web app.

Your choices

  • You can change your login email from the Settings screen.
  • You can delete metrics, daily records, and notes from inside the app.
  • You can sign out at any time.
  • If paid billing is enabled for your account, you can view subscription details and any available management links from Settings.
  • You can delete your account from Settings. The app describes this as permanent and as removing your data.

How long we keep information

  • Account and tracking data stay in Top Tracker until you remove that content or delete your account.
  • Your saved theme and week-start preference stay with your profile until you change them or delete your account.
  • Persistent sign-in data stays in browser storage until you sign out, the session expires, or browser storage is cleared.
  • The install-guide dismissal flag stays on the current device until browser storage is cleared.
